Who We Are.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) exists to strengthen the partnership between parents and educators. We strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students, staff and community within the school. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their school.
What We Do.
Our 2024-25 goal is to raise $160,000.
This provides salaries for Art, Science and PE teachers, PLUS, classroom supplies, library books, music supplies, staff hospitality, school garden, enrichment events & assemblies, playground equipment, school community events, and other needs as they arise from gaps in the district budget.
We have opportunities for everyone! PTA board, program chairs & committees, volunteers for 1x events.

Don't have time to volunteer? You can still become a PTA member. $15 per year gives you a “seat at the table” when important decisions are made about your child’s school.
When you join Poinsettia PTA, you also join the California state and national PTA. Membership numbers count when PTA representatives lobby for support from Carlsbad Unified School District, the California Legislature, and in Congress.
